Blog Post 10/08/2018:

Thank You all for attending the Fall District Meetings!!  I enjoyed meeting my Auxiliary sisters and the opportunity I had to visit with them.  I hope I can see many of you at the Gift Shops, Christmas Parties and later at the Mid-Winter Conference in Spearfish.

November 10th is the Auxiliary Birthday do something special at your Unit meeting because you belong to the largest Patriotic women’s organization in the world.

Then November 11th is Veterans Day don’t forget to say Thank You to those men and women who fought for our freedom.  We owe an enormous debt to the Veterans of this Nation.  The debt is only payable in respect, honor and remembrance.  The October mailing will be coming out soon, Plans of Action are part of this huge mailing.  Be sure and share the information with your members.

In the Spirit of Good Will!!

With Thoughts and Prayer

From Department Chaplain

Barbara Walter

Sympathies go out to Charles and Karen Lehr on the death of their sixteen year old Grandson. He is the son of John and Hilary Schwagel. The Funeral will be Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milbank SD Friday, October 12th at 3:30 pm.

I'm not sure how many of you were members and/or leaders in your local, district or department ALA while Pat Coyle was Secretary. It is with heavy heart that we have to say good bye to Pat as she has gone to her eternal life.

The arrangements are Sunday, October 14, 2018, there will be a visitation from noon to 2 PM, with a prayer service at 1:30 at the funeral home in Huron. The funeral service is scheduled for Monday October 15, at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Huron.

Cards may be sent to the Family of Pat Coyle, 752 Kansas Ave, SE, Huron, SD 57350

A personal side note from Rose: Pat is like the backbone to all of the Auxiliary Members in South Dakota. When you speak to people who worked with her as our Department Secretary they have nothing but praise for her, the job she did and her commitment to our Veterans through the Auxiliary. It is time that we step up to the plate and be the new Pat Coyle of today. God blessed us with Pat and know Pat is sharing her eternal life with him. God Bless.

Prayers and deepest sympathy to PDP Barb Vetter on the loss of her mother, Regina Heidereich. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 2nd.
